HARRISONBURG, La. — One woman is dead and a teenager is injured after a crash involving an ATV Friday night.

At 8 p.m., Louisiana troopers responded to a crash on Louisiana 124 in Harrisonburg.

The crash involved a 2004 Yamaha Rhino driven by Mickie J. Shirley, 26, of Enterprise. Shirley was traveling eastbound in Louisiana 124 when she lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. Shirley’s Yamaha re-entered the roadway and began overturning.

Shirley was transported to Citizens Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Shirley’s passenger was a 16-year-old female who sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Citizens Medical Center. Both were ejected during the crash.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
