JACKSON — Services for Ernest Lee Ford, 59, of Jackson, who died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, will be at noon Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy LeFlore officiating.
Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Gardens in Jackson under the direction of People’s Funeral Home in Jackson.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Ford was born July 17, 1951, the son of Leonard Sr. and Mary Ford. He was baptized in Church Hill at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. He became a member of Friendship Baptist Church and served there as senior deacon.
Ernest was employed by Goodfellas Trucking Company in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Ford; two daughters, Torrence Mcgruder of Jackson and Kimberly Athan of Texas; one son, Ernest LaCarr Ford of Sandston, Va.; two stepsons, Anthony Phillips and Johnny April Jr. of Jackson; two brothers, Leonard Ford Jr. and Bobby Ford, both of Natchez; one sister, Betty Ford Washington of Sugar Land, Texas; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number nieces, nephews and other relatives.
