WCCA selling school T-shirts

WOODVILLE — Southern Belle T-shirts are being sold for $16 in the Wilkinson County Christian Academy office.

The back of the T-shirt reads “Southern Belles love their WCCA Rams.”

The Rev. Timmy Straight from Healing Place Church in St. Francisville, La., gave the weekly devotion. He challenged the students to present themselves as a sweet smelling aroma to God. His sermon was well received by the student body.

All 18 members of the 11th grade take Kelly Fuller for fine arts class. In class last week, the students did texture rubbing charts. Trenton Hall won a Butterfinger for finding the most unique textures.

Some of his textures included lighting fixtures, lockers and the hallway wall.

The junior-sponsored the “Back to School Dance” was Friday after the football game. The school would like to say a big “thank you” to those who attended

The 11th grade elected their class officers for this school year. Officers are Amanda Pritchard, president; Erin Morris, vice president; Audrey Morris, treasurer; Rachel Allred secretary; Lorna Klein, reporter and Caitlin O’Leary, reporter.
