WOODVILLE — Services for James “Buddy” Earls, 95, of Woodville, who died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, in New Orleans, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Woodville.

Burial will follow in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Earls was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Woodville, the son of George Sr. and Persyler Armstrong Earls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Paris O. Earls; one son, George Earls Jr.; three grandsons, Eldon Dangerfield, Randy Earls and Patrick Earls; one brother, Elmo Earls; and two sisters, Ida M. Dirks and Annie Scott.

Survivors include four loving daughters, Princella Fleming and husband Idorsey, Mary Fleming and husband Leroy, all of Natchez, Maudra Dangerfiled and husband Blanch of New Orleans and Florence McLin and husband Anthony of Florence; four devoted sons, James Earls Jr., and wife Thelma, Johnny Earls and wife Laura, both of Baton Rouge, Jesse Earls and wife Joan of New Orleans and Elmo Earls and wife Cynthia of Geismar, La.; one sister, Helen Hillmon of Detroit; two brothers, Horace Mack Earls of Woodville and J.D. Earls of Detroit; one sister-in-law, Maudra Dennis of Cleveland; two devoted nieces, Rayphine Tolliver of Baton Rouge and Weltha Davis of Natchez; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
