Be cautious at school entrance
Published 12:00 am Sunday, September 5, 2010
Every afternoon as I leave Robert Lewis Middle School, it never fails that at least one vehicle ignores the crossing guard and speeds right by the school as buses and cars are leaving the parking lot.
This is dangerous for all vehicles involved: the drivers ignoring the guard’s stop sign, school buses full of children and teachers leaving work. If this continues, it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed.
I urge drivers to be more careful and law enforcement to begin monitoring the area in the afternoon.
