President gives country empty promises

When Barack Obama was campaigning for president of the United States, he promised the following:
– To put all bills on the White House Web site for five days before signing them.
– To have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN
– To close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year
– To end the hiring of former lobbyists into White House jobs
– To end no-compete contracts with the government
– To disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings
– To have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.
In addition the Democrats campaigned on a pledge of “no earmarks,” no closed door drafting of bills, no increases in deficit spending, no special-interest influences (unions), no vote buying (remember Nebraska and Louisiana).
Where is the moral fiber in our politicians? Are we going to tolerate politicians who run on one set of promises but govern otherwise?
Where is duty, honor and country that we expect of military?
Why can we not expect the same of our elected representatives?
Let’s vote out the liars.
