FERRIDAY — Services for Tim “Lindy” Richards, 81, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Camelot Leisure Living in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Mickey Gallup officiating.
Burial will follow at Oswalt Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Richards was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Lismore, La., the son of Tom and Malvy Richards. He was a lifelong resident of Lismore and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by is wife, Ann K. Richards; his parents; one daughter, Linda Lewis; three brothers, Lloyd, Tommy and C.M. Richards; and one sister, Lolette McMillan.
Survivors include one son, Tim Richards Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Monterey; one daughter, Brenda Richards of Lismore, La.; four grandchildren, Lynn Morace, Janan Slay, Melissa Smith and Annie Richards; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Morace, Amber Morace and Weston Smith; one brother, Bobby Richards of Hattiesburg; and one sister, Nell Waltman of Lismore, La.
Pallbearers will be A.C. White, Alan Ashley, Jamie Morace, Jason White, Pete Wheeler and Peyton Morace.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Mount and Morris Miller Willson.
