SCHRIEVER AFB, Colo. — Wade H. McGrew, was promoted to the rank of major in the U.S. Air Force on Aug. 1.

McGrew is the chief of weapons and tactics for the 50th Network Operations Group at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado.

McGrew earned a bachelor’s degree from Alabama State University, a master’s degree from Troy University, has recently graduated from the USAF’s Air Command and Staff College.

He is a decorated veteran of the war in Iraq.

McGrew, a Natchez native, is the son of Melinda A. McGrew of Natchez.
