The Mystic Krewe of Alpheus would like to invite everyone to participate in our annual golf tournament at Duncan Park, Saturday. Tee time is 8:30 a.m.

This year the Mystic Krewe of Alpheus is going “Back to the Basics” for the 2011 Mardi Gras season to celebrate our 20th year. There will be less formality and lots more fun. Our parade is already scheduled for Feb. 26, with an after party immediately following the parade.

Membership opportunities are also available and to celebrate our 20th year we have lowered the membership dues to $50 per person. If you would like to become a member of the Krewe of Alpheus please contact us at mkreweofalpheus@yahoo.com.We meet regularly at the Natchez Eola Peacocks Bar and Grill thanks to the hospitality of Ron and JoAnn Brumfield.

Registration for players for the golf tournament can also be requested by e-mailing kreweofalpheus@yahoo.com or calling 601-442-8794. The cost to sponsor a team is $180 or $60 per individual player, if you would like to sponsor a hole and a team the donation is only $250, a savings of $30.

We are still accepting hole sponsors for the golf tournament. The sponsor fee for one hole is $100 and you will be recognized at the hole for your contribution.

Of course with your donation you get to play 18 holes of golf at Duncan Park, a continental breakfast, lunch, beverages and some great door prizes.

As with every golf tournament we have hosted, we have always donated some of the proceeds to the Pleasant Acre Day School. So not only are you guaranteed a day of fun and excitement but you are also helping us assist one of our Krewe’s favorite charitable organizations.
