NATCHEZ — Services for Robbie Lynn Shirley, 73, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, in Jackson, will be at 10 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Brenda Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shirley was born Dec. 2, 1936, in Bonifay, Fla., the daughter of the Rev. Jasper Newton Rogers and Alpha Gwindolyn Ellis Rogers. She was raised in Bonifay and was a 1954 graduate of Holmes County High School. She was secretary and treasurer for the Concordia Parish Police Jury. She was also a member of the McNeely Road Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, the Rev. Don Rogers.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Shirley of Natchez and Michael Shirley and wife, Margaret, of Franklin, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Julie Anne Shirley; one sister, Bobbie Jean Thomas and husband, Jessie, of Slocomb, Ala.; two nieces, Allison Thomas and Rebekah Rogers; and two nephews, Adrian Thomas and the Rev. Matt Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Reynolds, Pate Shirley, Whest Shirley, Carl Bruce, Kevin Brown and Ronnie Burr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Concordia Parish Police Jury.
