The Kiwanis Club of the Natchez Trace invites you to our membership drive from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Bowie’s.

Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities.

Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. We develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more.

No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great things happen!

The Natchez Trace Kiwanis promotes and mentors all Natchez Key Clubs, works with the Natchez Children’s Home Services, Pleasant Acre Day School, The Boys and Girls Club, the Sunshine Shelter, Kyle’s House and volunteers with the American Red Cross.

The Natchez Trace Kiwanis Club also provides scholarships for eligible high school seniors who are a part of Key Club.

Globally, Kiwanis International supports the 9/11 Victims Children’s Fund, provides aid for the victims of tsunamis, hurricanes in the Gulf Coast, a typhoon in the Philippines and earthquakes in El Salvador and Taiwan.

Please come and join us Thursday to enjoy the Kiwanian fellowship and learn how to help the children of our community at the same time.

If you would like more information, please contact me at 601-442-7411 or Stuart Heflin at 601-442-9138 or any Kiwanis Club member.
