Could the days get any more beautiful?
The weather has been fantastic, the air is crisp, the leaves are falling, the tourists are in town and life is great!
What a wonderful week in the Miss-Lou. Let’s review a few specifics.
4 The Natchez Convention Center played host to a large group of recreation officials from across the state. In addition to an influx of people spending money in town, the group also brought some experience and expertise to town from which local recreation commission leaders were able to learn.
4 Ferriday Lower Elementary School parents enjoyed a special day of reading at the school Thursday as students dressed in costume to show off what they have learned. Nothing is more special than watching a parent and child enjoy learning together.
4 Eleven Robert Lewis Middle School students were selected to be a part of the Duke University Talent Identification Program. The program lets students take college entrance exams early, in order to better prepare them for the years to come.
4 Copiah-Lincoln Community College hosted its annual college fair last week, giving area teens a chance to learn more about schools that could further their education.
4 Pilgrimage began, and early numbers are strong.
With a jam-packed October upon us, we’ll pray for more days like the last few and look forward to plenty of fun.
