NATCHITOCHES, La. — No. 8 Block was unable to defeat No. 1 St. Mary Friday night as the two Class 1A teams squared off.

The Tigers took a 24-7 win to improve to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in district play.

Block fell to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in district play. The Bears host Montgomery for homecoming next Friday at 7 p.m.

Bolton 34, Vidalia 24

ALEXANDRIA, La. — Vidalia was not able to keep its momentum going off its first win of the season as the Vikings lost to the Bolton Bears in District 3-3A action Friday night.

With the loss, Vidalia fell to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in district play.

The Vikings play at Bunkie next Friday at 7 p.m.
