GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — Frank Warren scored five touchdowns, four on the ground, and carried 29 times for 202 yards as Grambling State defeated Alcorn State 38-28 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game on Saturday.

Warren, who came in as the No. 2 rusher in the Football Championship Subdivision, scored at least one touchdown in every quarter, including a 10-yard pass from Danny Reyes that put the Tigers (5-1, 5-0) ahead 21-7 with 37 seconds left until halftime.

Warren’s 18-yard scoring run on the opening second-half possession made it 28-7, but Brandon Bridge’s passing kept the Braves (3-3, 2-2) in range.
