I wanted to say thank you to everyone who used the Isle of Capri parking lot this weekend for balloon race.

Because of you we were able to raise more than $3,000 for United Way. Most of all we never could have done it without United Way and Isle of Capri team members giving up there time to make this a success.

This is a wonderful time in our city and a great opportunity to help other charity organizations like Sunshine Shelter, Children’s Home and more.

Looking around Natchez, I saw several other places that could do the same thing. If you own parking opportunities downtown please consider opening your lots up for the chance that a local organization can benefit from all of the folks looking for that really good parking place.
