NATCHEZ — Services for Charlotte Sanders, 71, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Plain Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Sanders was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Natchez, the daughter of Willie Brown and Laura Jones Brown and stepmother, Georgia Brown. She was employed as a private duty nurse and was also employed by Broadmoor Grill. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother; and two brothers, Willie Brown and Ray Brown.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Sanders of Tallahassee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jameca Walker and Tavelle Sanders, both of Detroit; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters, Rosa Robinson of Kansas City, Mo., Katie Madison of Detroit, Linda Washington and husband, Nathaniel, of Dallas, Lisa Woods and Gail Gamble and husband, James, all of Natchez; one brother, Kenneth Brown of Cannonsburg; two uncles, Robert Blanton and wife, Helen and Leroy Blanton and wife, Carol, all of Detroit; special friends, Charles Sanders and Betty Dixon, both of Natchez; two sisters-in-law, Mary George and Earline White of Texas; and a number of other relatives and friends.
