Harrisonburg remains identified as Nevada girl

HARRISONBURG — The bones found in the woods in Catahoula Parish have been identified as Lexis Kaye Roberts, 12, of Las Vegas.

According to a Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office press release, Lexis was last seen in the company of her mother, Suellen Roberts and a man, Thomas Sanders. They were traveling in a silver 2001 Kia Motors four-door sedan with Nevada license plate 153UCR.

Suellen Roberts and Sanders have not yet been located. Roberts is a white female, age 31, 5-feet-4-inches tall and approximately 160 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Sanders is a white male, age 53, 5-feet-six-inches and 160 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-744-5411.

Lexis Roberts remains were found by a hunter on Oct. 8. They were positively identified today.
