NATCHEZ — Services for Lillie Matthews Frye, 70, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in Memphis, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Frye was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Adams County, the daughter of Cybell Matthews Whitley and stepfather who raised her, Alfred Whitley.
Mrs. Frye served on the Mothers Board at her church in Anchorage until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Frye; and two grandsons, Leon Sessions and Bobby Goodin Jr.
Survivors include eight loving and devoted children, Linda Goodin-Williams, Steve Matthews, Steven Frye and Don Frye, all of Anchorage, Yolanda Frye-Williams of Memphis, Bobby Goodin Sr. of Philadelphia, the Rev. Elmer “June” Frye Jr., of Natchez and Troy Frye of Augusta, Ga.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
