LIBERTY — Services for Marisa Myer Hughey, 50, of Liberty, who died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, will be at 1 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pat Smith of Woodville officiating.

Burial will follow at Nunnery Cemetery near Liberty under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Liberty.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hughey was born Dec. 17, 1959, in Natchez, the daughter of Jerri Myer Pierce and Robert B. Myer of Ferriday.

Marisa was a graduate of Huntington School and was employed by D&M Woodworking as a bookkeeper.

She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Glen Hughey; her father; special aunt, Betty Myer; and grandparents, Noland and Ertie Hampton and Angela Gigillo and P.C. Myer.

Survivors include her husband, David Glen Hughey; one daughter, Katelyn Hughey; one son, Matthew Hughey, all of Liberty; her mother and her husband, Sam Pierce; one sister, Lisa Willard; one brother, Meigs Myer; one niece, Lacey Willard; one nephew, Landon Willard, all of Ferriday; and father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Shirley Hughey of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Hawkins, Landon Willard, Buster Burks, Jarrod Hughey, Wayne Rape and Lee Tynes.
