Share your opinion on Roth Hill

I went to the aldermen meeting last week, my first in over a year, and had an eye opener.

The newspaper did not give justice to what Alderman Dan Dillard brought up about the Roth Hill Casino project. He pointed out all the discrepancies in the lease, and its contents. He even stated that no one — mayor or city attorney — could furnish a copy of the lease or any minutes of meeting showing the contract was even voted on by the board.

Now is the time for all of us that want something more public done with this land for the community to unite behind this opportunity to take back Roth Hill.

The special meeting of the board to discuss this in an open meeting is Tuesday (election day) at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.

Please come and make our presence known to our city leaders. Remember most of them only care about a casino and nothing else. This may be our best opportunity to get Roth Hill back for the people of Natchez.
