History instructor earns humanities honor

NATCHEZ — Jim Wiggins of Natchez and a history instructor for Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Natchez has been chosen an outstanding humanities scholar by the college and the Mississippi Humanities Council.
“I’m flattered and humbled to receive this award,” Wiggins said.
Nomination for this honor rotates around Co-Lin’s three campuses.
His presentation, “Travels in, and studies on, the Middle East: Istanbul, 2010,” will be presented on Nov. 30, and the public is invited. The program will be at 1:30 p.m. in the W. L. Nelson Multi-Purpose Room in the Redd/Watkins Career and Technical Education Center.
