CANNONSBURG — Services for Jerome “Jelly” Herrington Sr., 103, of Cannonsburg, who died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Standford Cruel officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Herrington was born Aug. 30, 1907, in Jefferson County, the son of George Herrington and Dora Williams. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include six children, Martha Green, Jerome Herrington Jr. and wife, Mamie, George Herrington and wife, Margie, William Herrington Sr. and wife, Johnnie, all of Cannonsburg, and Louvenia Hargo and husband, Willie, of Fayette and Verine Dawson of Natchez; 53 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Dorothy Robinson and husband, Leroy, of Lorman; special nephew, Samuel Green of Church Hill; three sisters-in-law, Lavern Jackson and Josephine Jackson, both of Cannonsburg, and Mabel Jackson of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
