SUWOM, S. Korea — Curtis G. Dickens has been promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Dickens, a stock control supervisor with five years of military service, is assigned to the 6th Battalion, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, Suwon Airbase, South Korea.

He is the son of Johnny Dickens of Gloster. He is a 1995 graduate of from Amite County High School.
