JACKSON, La. — Services for Jewel Marie Dover Wisner, 64, of Jackson, La., formerly of Woodville, who died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospice Ministries-Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, will be at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Pender officiating.

Burial will follow at Wesberry Family Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wisner was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Tulane, Calif., the daughter of Boyce Dover and Mildred Vines Dover. She was employed by Adams Grocery Store and was also a hairdresser for 24 years. She also was employed by East Feliciana State Hospital.

Mrs. Wisner was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

She was preceded death by her parents; one sister, Rita Huff; and two brothers, Donald Geter and Ronald Geter.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Wisner Richmond and Wanda Wisner Woodard; two sons, David “Bo” Wisner and Michael Shane Wisner; nine granddaughters, Jennifer Hood, Cassie Lasley, Jessica Lee, Elizabeth Wisner, Makayla Wisner, Savannah Wisner, Reanna Wisner, Christine Jackson and Nelwyn Jackson; three grandsons, Joseph “Buddie” David, James Andre Woodard and David Carol Wisner; eight great-grandchildren, McKenzie Hood, Kinley Hood, Kayliegh Lasley, River Woodard, Madison Woodard, Nickalas Varnado, Seth Lee and Kori Lynn Lee; four sisters, Doris Longmire, Margaret Murray, Shirley Felter and Barbara Brown; and three brothers, John Lee Dover, Boyce W. Dover and Gordon Dover.
