FERRIDAY — Services for Jinx Jonetta Travers, 46, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. T.A. Baker Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Travers was born April 10, 1964, in Ferriday, the daughter of Lionel and Edna Marie Long Travers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son, Perryman Travers of Ferriday; three brothers, Lance Travers of Ferriday, Dr. Richard Travers of Lafayette, La., and Lionel Travers Jr. of Waterproof; four sisters, Jerrolyn Travers of Houston, Texas, Jacqueline Jackson and husband, Walter, of Columbia, S.C., Robbie Travers and Edwin Travers, both of Ferriday; one uncle, George Long of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
