NATCHEZ — Services for Lillian Taylor, 91, of Natchez, who died Tuesday Dec. 14, 2010, at Promise Hospital, will be at noon Monday at St. Peter’s Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Wilsoni Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Bateaste Funeral Home, and 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 13, 1919, the daughter of Eugene and Lydia Dottery. She was a resident of Natchez, a church secretary for 40 years, a choir member, mother of the church and a member of American Legion Troop 228 and the Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Taylor Sr.; three sisters; and five brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Flemons of Sacramento, Calif., Lillian Dixon, of Natchez and Gloria Robinson and husband, Darnell, of Natchez; one son, Charles Taylor Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Allen, Tex.; one stepson, Vince Mack and wife, Clara, of Sacramento; one foster son, Julius Mack and wife, Deloris, of Missouri City, Texas; one brother, James Dottery of Riverside, Calif.; and two sister-in-laws, Nellie Dottery and Mary Kelly, both of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
