FERRIDAY — Services for Odie Mae Seals, 86, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 27, at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Wayne Gray officiating.
Burial will follow at Roger Cemetery near Clayton under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Seals was born on May 17, 1924, in Coffeeville, Ala., daughter of George Allday and Bessie Allday.
She was a resident of Ferriday, a seamstress and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bolen Clifford Seals; her parents; one daughter, Betty Wall; three sons, Jeff Seals, Tommy Seals and Calvin “C” Seals; one grandson, Kevin Wall; two sisters, Katie Belle Everette and Ollie Mae Allday; and one brother, Coleman Allday.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Micheau and Linda Seward, both of Ferriday; and five sons, Jimmy Seals, Erby Seals and J.C. Seals, all of Ferriday, Mike Barnes of Laurel, and Lavelle Seals of Gloster.
Pallbearers will be Shelton Seals, Michael Seals, Chris Seals, Mike Barnes, Jeremy Tarver and Nelson Wall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Evans, Dewitt Hill, Kenny Ray Fitt and Jason Tarver.
The family requests memorial donations in lieu of flowers.
