Deltaurus Holmes

NATCHEZ — Services for Deltaurus “Sprite Man” Holmes, 19, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Natchez, will be at noon Monday at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Deltaurus was born Dec. 8, 1991, in Vicksburg, the son of Sharon Renee Holmes and Charles Jackson. He was a senior at Natchez High School and was employed by Shoney’s Restaurant.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Davis Holmes.

Survivors include his mother of Natchez; his father of Vicksburg; two brothers, Jacorey Harris and Jamarcus Holmes; grandfather, Leroy Holmes, all of Natchez; two aunts, Geraldine Davis Jackson of Natchez and Angela Tyrone Miller of Vicksburg; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be classmates and family.
