FERRIDAY — Services for Frank Brown Sr., 75, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Phaion Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Fairview, La., the son of Bob Brown and Sarah Bethley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, the Rev. Shep Bethley.

Survivors include his wife, Delbra Freeman Brown; one son, Frank Brown Jr. and wife, Kathey, of Alexandria, La.; two daughters, Janice Thomas of Ferriday and LuSae Brown of Bunkie, La.; three stepsons, Terry Brown and wife, Tanya, of Dallas, Huey Elzy Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Oakdale, La., and Alvin Hines of Alexandria; six stepdaughters, Sherlis Canada of Fort Polk, La., Norma Nash and Jackie Mosely, both of Alexandria, Rita Sorrell of Bunkie, Sharon Collins and Erica Sorrell, both of Franklin, La.; one brother, James Bethley; three sisters, Beatrice Brown and husband, Luke, Hattie Ruth Bethley and Leatrice Allen and husband, Bobby, all of Ferriday; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and three special cousins, Leola Scott, Dorothy Curry and Sally Calhoun, all of Ferriday.
