PORT GIBSON — Services for Mary Catherine Wallace, 65, of Port Gibson, who died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Port Gibson.
Burial will follow at Forest Grove Christian Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Wallace was born June 4, 1945, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Cameal Wells and Edward Woodard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Rosie Lee Davis, Edna Mae Savage and Helen Woodard; three brothers, Clay Curtis, K.C. Woodard and Shelby Woodard; and one daughter-in-law, LaTasha Woodard.
Survivors include a loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Sylvester Wallace; seven children, Kay Griffin and husband, Lewis, Rose Bell and husband, James, Gloria Dorsey and husband, Eddie Lee, Darin Woodard, Fred Woodard and wife, Toffé, Carl Wallace and Carla Wallace; six stepchildren, Roy Wallace, Juanita Gibson and husband, U.L., MaeBell Gray and husband, Tommie, Sylvester Scott, Connie Scott and Robert Scott and wife, Keisha; one brother, Willie Woodard and wife, Carol, one godsister, Ruby Archer and husband, Carl; two godsons, Derrick Lacey and Jeremy Dawson; four special friends, Mary Lena James, Laeunice Savage, Emma Louise Bruce and Eddie Wells; 30 granchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
