WOODVILLE — Wilkinson County Christian Academy had no answer for Adams County Christian School’s duo of Daniel Guedon and James Moffett, who combined to score 41 points in the Rebels’ 58-25 win over the Rams Tuesday night.
Guedon finished with a game-high 21 points while Moffett scored 20 points for ACCS, which improved to 8-7 overall and 1-2 in MAIS District 5-AA. The Rebels jumped out to a 27-6 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back.
“Our defensive pressure in the first quarter led to some easy transition buckets,” ACCS head coach Rick Fife said. “In the first and second quarter, I though our zone offense was working well. They played a zone defense.”
In the second quarter, the Rebels scored 17 points while the Rams managed just seven points and trailed 44-13 at halftime. With the game out of hand, Fife went to his bench in the second half.
“One through five, I thought we were working well together. We had some big shots at big times early in the game,” Fife said.
Tramel McKinsey led WCCA with nine points while Trenton Hall and Ethan Carruth each had six points.
ACCS hosts Canton Academy in non-district action on Thursday while WCCA hits the road to take on No. 4 Central Private in District 5-AA action on Friday.

Jefferson County 45
FAYETTE — Kenyon McDonald had a game-high 16 points and Marcus Robinson added 12 points as Wilkinson County defeated Jefferson County Tuesday night to remain undefeated in Region 7-3A.
The outcome of this game was in doubt until the Wildcats took care of business on both ends of the court in the fourth quarter. They put 16 points in the final eight minutes while holding the Tigers to just nine points.
Jefferson County overcame a 10-7 deficit after one quarter of play by outscoring Wilkinson County 17-15 in the second quarter and 12-11 in the third quarter to tie the game at 36-36.
Richard Myles led the Tigers with 12 points and Jamel Anderson scored 10 points. They will play at Tylertown Saturday. Wilkinson County (6-11, 3-0) plays host to Amite County Friday.
Trinity Episcopal 77,
Tallulah Academy 43
TALLULAH, La. — Even with three players not playing to rest some nagging injuries, the Trinity Episcopal Saints still had little trouble defeating the Tallulah Academy Trojans Tuesday night to remain undefeated in MAIS District 6-A.
Kevin Brown, Tanner Cage and Kent King sat out this game as head coach David King didn’t want to take any chances.
The first quarter was closer than many expected and ended with the Saints leading by just four points, 18-14. However, the No. 4 team in Class A started to pull away in the second quarter and led 39-27 at halftime. The game really got away from the Trojans in the third quarter as they were outscored 22-9 and were down by 25 points heading into the fourth quarter.
Trinity Episcopal (12-3, 4-0) was led by Givonni Dent with 17 points and Tip McKenzie and Garrett Vinson, who each had 10 points. The Saints will take on Madison-Ridgeland Academy Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Jackson Academy Classic.
