CLAYTON — Services for Frederick C. Bethley, 50, who died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Promise Rehabilitation Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church, in Clayton, with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Monroe, La.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Bethley was born Aug. 10, 1960, in Ferriday, the son of Doris Bethley Matthews and Michael M. Burton. He was a graduate of Ferriday High School. He was a devoted member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and devoted stepfather, Rodney Matthews; his father of California; one son, Derrick Butler of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Kirk Bethley and wife, Eunice, of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Yolanda Matthews of Baton Rouge, Debbie Burton and Myron Burton, both of California; one stepsister, Jackie Anderson of Los Angeles; one niece, Yolanda Bethley; one nephew, Norico Bethley, both of Baton Rouge; and a number of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
