NATCHEZ — Services for Isabelle H. Ware, 70, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Howard officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Eastern Star rites beginning at 7 p.m., and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Ware was born May 25, 1940, in Natchez, the daughter of the Rev. Julius Griffin Hoskins and Rosie Elizabeth Murphy Hoskins. She was a lifelong member of Daughters of Zion Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Mothers Board.
She attended Natchez-Adams County public schools and was a member of the Good Samaritans, L.F. & C. Society, Milford Society, Edna Anderson Chapter No. 11 Order of Eastern Star and Grand Adah Chapter Evelyn Lillie Kay Amaranth Court No. 3.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Bowser Ware Sr.; three sons, Jimmy Lee Ware and wife, Quartreate, Bowser Ware Jr., all of Natchez, and Frank Ware and wife, Catherine, of Chicago; one daughter, Pearly Goodman and husband, Malcolm, of Vicksburg; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one godchild, Shemeka McNeely; two sisters, Rosie H. Henderson of Natchez and Chris McClure of Saginaw, Mich.; two brothers, Charles Hoskins and wife, Rose, of Natchez and John M. Hoskins of Moss Point; three sisters-in-law, Alberta Selman, Clara Franklin and Isabella Gibson, all of Natchez; two brothers-in-law, Ed Ware Jr. and wife, Daisy, and the Rev. Monroe Ware and wife, Sarah, all of Natchez; special niece, Mary Straus; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Masons.
