Community made a difference for Stewpot

The community deserves a follow-up to the Top of the Morning I wrote on the Stewpot prior to the holiday season.

Thanks to all of you, the Stewpot has been able to overcome the high costs of building repairs and still maintain daily preparation, serving and distribution of free meals.

With your future support, we will be able to continue this mission.

For instance, the upcoming Empty Bowls event hosted by local artists on Feb. 13 will be important to this effort.

The Natchez community’s contributions of money, food and volunteer work during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season was excellent. So many gave so much, many wishing to remain unknown, that it is impossible to personally thank each individual, group, church, business, etc. Thank you.

Many responded to the Stewpot’s need for volunteers to deliver meals to those not able to come to our dining room. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone. God Bless.

An open meeting with everyone interested invited is tentatively planned for Feb. 22.
