CLAYTON — Services for Elijah Willis, 100, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at noon Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Willis was born June 5, 1910, in Vidalia, the son of Colonel and Luevenia Dyson Willis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Febie Willis; and his siblings.

Survivors include one son, Levie Slack of Pacoima, Calif.; three granddaughters, Roaline Slack, Patricia Slack and Elaine Slack, all of Pacoima; three grandsons, Myron P. Slack of Inglewood, Calif., Levie Slack and Teddy Slack, both of Pacoima; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
