NATCHEZ — Services for Grace Marie Murphy, 9, “our little angel,” who died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Cranfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until servcie time Sunday, both at the church.
Grace Marie Murphy was born Dec. 19, 2001, in Natchez. She lived and served her life for God. She loved her family and friends. She was “our little angel.” She loved her animals and enjoyed life the best she could with her sickness that she had, cystic fibrosis.
She also enjoyed singing. She always said she was going to be like Hannah Montana. Her favorite song was “The Climb” and now she sings in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bill DeLaughter and Carl Norris Sr.; and her grandmother, Julia Merla Norris.
Survivors include her guardian parents, Carl and Janice Norris; family and friends, Dale and Elizabeth Collier of Natchez, Mark and Stacey Norris of Florida; sister, Tiffany Norris; brother, Mark Norris Jr.; grandmother, Margie Delaughter, all of Natchez; and a number of cousins, aunts, uncles, a large numbe of friends.
Pallbearers will be boy buddies, Mark Norris Jr., Dustin Mullins, Colby Hash, Howard Stroud, Ryan Nettles, Dakota Johnston, Trey Ashley, Coltin Weathersby and Lee Lathem.
