KIRBY — Services for McKinley “Nick” Martin, 39, of Roxie, who died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at King Point Island in Vicksburg, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Kirby.
Burial will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Whiteapple under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Martin was born Jan. 15, 1972, in Natchez, the son of James Martin and Peachie Hannon Martin-Byrd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Lee Martin; one nephew, Jermany Martin; maternal grandparents, Bertha Thomas and Julius Hannon; paternal grandparents, McKinley and Sue Martin; one aunt, Clarice Harrison; and four uncles, Johnny Hannon, Willie, Harvey and James Lee Thomas.
Survivors include is wife, Antounda Pernell Martin; two sons, Tckinley Martin of Roxie and Dazie Harrison of Natchez; two daughters, Zandra Harrison and Peaches Martin, both of Natchez; three stepchildren, Breyonia Williams, Denyla Williams, both of Roxie, and Josh Harrison of Minneapolis, Minn.; seven sisters, Cherlena Hannon of Natchez, Gwenette Hughes, Alice Hannon, Tracy Martin and husband, Tony, and Linda Smith and husband, Anthony, all of Roxie, Diann Foley and husband, Eddie, of Hammond, La., and Helen Bates of Gloster; two brothers, Terrance Hannon and wife, Cecelia, of Roxie and James Martin of Minneapolis; two aunts, Dorothy Hunt of Gloster and Lucille Clark of Chicago; two uncles, Nickadimus of Gloster and Bobby Thomas and wife, Ella, of Natchez; Debbie Martin, who was raised as a sister; three special friends, Erid “Jack Rabbit” Dillion, Troy “Moocat” Terrell and Sargent “Hoppoppa” Jenkins III; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
