FERRIDAY — Services for Rosie Lee Jordan Grimes, 75, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Freddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Grimes was born March 21, 1935, in Frogmore, La., the daughter of Archie and Julia Washington Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include two brothers, Sam Jordan of Palato, Calif., and Archie Jordan Jr. of Menlo Park, Calif.; two sisters, Bessie Mitchell and Jennie Jordan, both of Menlo Park; and two girls she raised as her own, Gwendolyn Taylor and Laurel and Anita Jean Taylor of Ferriday.
