CLAYTON — Memorial services for Batan “Cheryl” Payton, 54, of Lawrenceville, Ga., who died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Gwinnett Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rising Sun Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Dave Mays officiating.

Miss Payton remains were cremated.

She was born Oct. 29, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Survivors include one daughter, Kellia Brown; one son, Teran Wilson, both of Lawrenceville; her parents, Jake Davis and Mary Alice Davis; two sisters, Jazadericka and Natia Davis, all of Ferriday; one stepsister, Joan Davis of Dacula, Ga.; three stepbrothers, Jake Davis Jr. of Ferriday, Harry Davis of Jonesville and Jimmie Davis of California; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
