NATCHEZ — Services for Leathia JaHazel Prewitt, 62, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Cranfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Curt Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Prewitt was born Sept. 25, 1948, in Natchez, the daughter of George and Leathia Huff.
She was preceded in death by her father and one nephew, Gary Layne Gray.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Arthur Paul Prewitt Jr.; two daughters, Pauline Alvis and special friend, Artellis Charrier, both of Vidalia, and Gwen Newson and husband, Tuell, of Tennessee; two sons, Douglas Maxie and girlfriend, Mandy Kyser, both of Natchez, and William Maxie and girlfriend, Barbara Lee, both of Waterproof; four sisters, Georgia Franklin, Ann Turner and husband, Red, and Arline Rose, all of Natchez, and Bonnie Farr and husband, Danny, of Meadville; four special friends, Cheryl, Janet, Jan and Sylvia; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Foster, Brian Bock, Tuell Newsom, Robert Pugh, Artellis Charrier, Henry Brady, Anthony McCranie and Chase Kyzar.
