WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers today announced that U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, will serve as vice chairman of Labor, Health, and Human Services Subcommittee for the 112th Congress.
“This new role on the LHHS Subcommittee of Appropriations is a great opportunity for me to serve the best interests of the 5th District, and the rest of Louisiana,” Alexander said. “I am truly honored and excited to work in this capacity to answer the call of Americans in reducing wasteful government spending.”
As vice chairman of this appropriations subcommittee, which oversees funding for the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Labor, Alexander will work to secure financial support for initiatives essential to the lives of every person.
