NATCHEZ — Services for Bertha Ruffin, 73, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.
Burial will follow at the Community Cemetery in Patterson under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Ruffin was born March 25, 1937, the daughter of Bertha Shanks Ruffin. She was a member of Sunflower Baptist Church. She was the owner of a lawn care service and was also a custodian, having served a number of customers in the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Corrine Ruffin Green.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ruffin Williams and Judy Brady; one son, James Ruffin, all of Natchez; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Gusta Willie of Port Gibson; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
