NATCHEZ — Services for Walter Jerry Rollins, 74, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Foster officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Rollins was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Bude, the son of Joseph David Rollins and Ollie Mae Freeman Rollins. He was employed as an automobile mechanic.
Mr. Rollins was Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Luther Ray Rollins; and one sister, Rose Mae Bass.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Rollins; one daughter, Sue Ann Perry and husband, Clayton, of Sicily Island; one granddaughter, Heather Faulkenberry and husband, Rikki, of Lake St. John; two great-grandchildren, Delenie and Alex Faulkenberry, both of Lake St. John; four sisters, Sue Barnett of Ridgecrest, JoAnn Rosenthal of Pearl, Bobbie Nell Fleming of Smithdale and Lynda Hayles of Natchez; two brothers, Dempsey Rollins of Washington and Robert Rollins of Vidalia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Rollins, Ernie Rollins, Paul Fleming, Billy Wayne Moore, Bo Hayles and Jody Hayles.
