WATERPROOF, La. — Services for Elouise Powell Herring, 75, of Waterproof, who died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Jena Nursing Home in Jena, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Concordia Funeral Home.

Ms. Elouise Powell Herring was born on Feb. 2, 1935, in Ferriday, the daughter of Omar Powell and Annie Davis.

Ms. Herring was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carrie Thomas; husband, Lawrence Herring; and one grandson, Jamall Macon.

Survivors include one daughter, Yolanda H. Williams and her husband Richard both of Redlands, Calif.; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary P. King, and her husband Leroy, both of Waterproof.
