METAIRIE, La. — Services for William “Paul” Gray Sr., 70, of Kenner, La., who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home in Metairie.

Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Garden of Memories Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Gray was born in Natchez, the son of Stigler and Reva Dills Gray. He was a resident of Kenner for the past 38 years.

He will be forever remembered by all for his passion for football, a true Ole Miss Rebel and New Orleans Saints fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hazel June.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rose Marie Sanders Gray; one son, William “Paul” Gray Jr. and wife, Melissa; one daughter, Bonny Gray Persick; seven grandchildren, Shane, Alicia, Darren, Kaylen, Toni, Kelly and Kristen; one great-grandchild, Erik Jr.; two sisters, Valerie Pritchard and Mary Ann King; two brothers, Albert Gray and George Gray; and a number of other relatives and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of William “Paul” Gray Sr. to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 71021.
