NATCHEZ — Services for Eillene Burke, 93, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Burke was born July 30, 1917, in West Monroe, La., the daughter of Scott Thomas and Alice Downs Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John V. Burke.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Alice Flournoy of Natchez, Paula Rose Winters of Baton Rouge and Karen Lynn Morrow of Hernando, Fla.; one son, James Joseph Burke of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Boyte and Melanie Williams, both of Baton Rouge, Rebecca Reynolds of Huntsville, Ala., Patrick Burke of Reno, Nev., Theresa Wall of Wimberly, Texas, Christine Shaw and Catherine Tosey, both of Houston, Texas, Gene Vinson of San Diego, Calif., Joshua Morrow of Miami and Ashley Morrow of Kona, Hawaii; four great-grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be John L. Wheat, Doyle Wheat, Gene Vinson, Kevin Williams, Don Boyte, Hunter Boyte and Patrick Burke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Morrow, Joshua Morrow and Willard Flournoy.
