FERRIDAY — Ferriday High School football coach Chad Harkins has tendered his resignation, Concordia Parish School Board Superintendent Loretta Blankenstein confirmed Thursday afternoon.
Blankenstein said Harkins will be on the school board meeting’s agenda tonight, and that he’s asking the board to accept his resignation.
“Basically, he’s said it’s a situation (where) he needed to (resign) at this time for himself and his family,” Blankenstein said.
Harkins guided the Trojans to a 7-4 record in 2010, including a 5-0 record in LHSAA District 2-2A record and a district title. Ferriday lost to Pope John Paul II High School in the first round of the LHSAA playoffs.
