NATCHEZ — Services for Henrietta Lou Mallory, 91, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at her residence, will be at noon today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Wynn officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mallory was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Columbus, Ga., the daughter of Noxie June and Maude Show Hale.
Mrs. Mallory moved to Natchez in 1952. She was employed by Blue Bell clothing factory for a number of years and later worked at Passavanti’s Tailor Shop. She bought Passavanti’s in 1963, and renamed it to Lou’s Tailor Shop.
She enjoyed her relationship with her customers and took pride in the fact that she altered clothes for generations of families in the Natchez area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Mallory; one brother, Jim Hale; and one sister, Maxie Grace Watson.
Survivors include one son, Ron “Bo” Smith of Natchez; one daughter, Sheilah Boseman and husband, Frank, of Brandon; one brother, Roy Hale of Columbus, Ga.; five grandchildren, Ronnie Smith and wife, Merrie, of Meridian, Robin Smith and wife, Laurie, and Brandi Klein and husband, Andrew, all of Brandon, Trey Burns and wife, Melissa, of Houston, Texas, and Sara Searcy and husband, Brett, of Cypress, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, Stone, Kirkland, Houston, Trey, Stephanie, Matthew, Madison, Mckayla, Mason and John Grady.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith, Robin Smith, Trey Burns, Parnell Burns, Andrew Klein and Brett Searcy.
