NATCHEZ — Services for Bobbie G. Johnson, 62, of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today the church with Eastern Star Burial Rites.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 22, 1948, in Grenada, the daughter of Levi and Helen Hardiman Chamberlain. She was a 1967 graduate of Carrie Dotson High School in Holcomb and a 1971 graduate of Jackson State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in education.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Queen Estern No. 1 Order of Easter Star, Adah Grand Chapter, OES, Pinkie Jackson Amaranth Court No. 1, Heroines of Jericho No. 1, Alkaran Court No. 1, Daughters of Sphinx. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dora Wills; and one brother, Levi Chamberlain.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Johnson; two daughters, Helena Jackson and husband, Gregory, of Conyers, Ga., and Catrina Johnson of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Jesse Johnson Jr. of Natchez; one stepson, Julius Wayne Willis of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Shirley Hillman of Chicago and Linda Little of Grenada; one godsister, Janie Green Johnson of Natchez; one goddaughter, Troy’Janek Reed of Newport News, Va.; three aunts, Wilma Willis of Milwaukee, Wis., Marie Oliney of Berkley, Calif., and Johnnie Mae Hardiman of Grenada; 11 brothers-in-law; 11 sisters-in-law; two special friends, Frances Bailey and Mary Hoggart, both of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Masonic brothers.
