Jerry Lee Dunigan

BROOKHAVEN — Services for Jerry Lee Dunigan, 73, of McCall Creek, who died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, were 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Ramah Baptist Church.

Burial followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Dunigan was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Lucien, the son of Marshall Dunigan and Lula Wooten Dunigan. He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church.

He was a retired oilfield worker with Energy Drilling Company.

“Mr. Dunigan went home to be with the Lord and will be missed greatly by family and friends,” his family said.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Georgia Maxine Dunigan; seven brothers, H.E. Dunigan, Marshall Hulin Dunigan, Othell Dunigan, Leonard Dunigan, Charles Dunigan, Willard Dunigan and Clinton Dunigan; and two sisters, Gladys Dunigan and Vera Mae Applewhite.

Survivors include four daughters, Judy McCall and husband, Michael, of Ville Platte, La., Teresa McDowell and husband, Danny, of Pineville, La., Vicki Sandlin and husband, Jerry, of Roxie and Micki Flowers and husband, Elwin, of Natchez; two sons, Jerry Lynn Dunigan and wife, Sandra, of Natchez and Jason Lyle Dunigan and wife, Robin, of Jackson; three grandchildren, Shane Pollan, Matthew Sandlin and Christopher Lennon Grace; one brother, Venton Dunigan of Natchez; one sister, Doris Campbell of Baton Rouge; and a beloved, special friend, Pauline Day Smith of Natchez.

Pallbearers were Jerry Dunigan, Jason Dunigan, Jerry Sandlin, Rodney Pollan, Shane Pollan and Danny McDowell.

Honorary pallbearers were Elwin Flowers, Roger Smith and Christopher Grace.
